Ivan Pavlak Bio

Ivan Pavlaks journey into music started with his first guitar at the age of fifteen when he joined a heavy metal group called “Krepuskull”. After performing in bars and festivals around the south of France he tasted the excitement that performing brings and decided to focus his energy and talent to music.

In September, the year 2000, Ivan was 23 and decided to pack his bags and head off to Paris to join The Alice Dona Music School where he was given solid advice in master classes by Claude Lemesle about song writing.

Angello Zorzolo (Pianist and musical arranger for Karim Kacel, Enzo Enzo, Georges Moustaki etc) quickly saw the raw potential that Ivan had and became his arranger, also joining him on stage at the Sentier des Halles in Paris as his pianist.

In the springtime of 2001, Ivan signed his first record contract with the label Shaoline Music.

From February 2003 til the end of 2004, Ivan was hired to sing and dance in Disneyland Paris in the show “Mickey’s Showtime”. It was here that he mastered his craft as a singer and performer as he performed 5 times daily.

During the same period, from May 2004 to May 2005, he worked as a composer and writer for Fleche Editions.

Thanks to M6, Luc Plamondon discovered Ivan and welcomed him into the cast of Notre-Dame de Paris as swing for the roles of Quasimodo and Frollo at the Palais des Congrès in December 2005. He was also part of the cast that toured Singapore in December 2006.

In January 2006, He signed a contract with EMI Publishing who created an all guy group called Hors Saison. All three of the singers were also guitarists. Ivan worked alongside Léa Ivanne and Bill Guighlione who are the song writers for Rock Voisine, Patricia Kass, Jonathan Cerrada and Julio Iglesias to name but a few. It was this writing duo that penned the first single of Hors Saison.

Fais moi un signe is a musical that was created for the deaf in 2008, and was directed by Daniel Glet ( Zorro, Cabaret…) Ivan was cast in the role of Sasha, an all out playboy.

In 2008 Ivan was given the opportunity to play the role of Brutus and also swing for César and Marc-Antoine in the Kamel Ouali musical, Cleopatre, la denière reine d’Egypte, from 29th January 2009 to 30th April 2009 at the Palais des sports, Paris. After the huge success in Paris, they went on tour around the country and in Switzerland and Belgium. At the same time, Ivan performed in his own concerts delivering his original material for his fans at the Scène Bastille and Sentier Des Halles.

The 9th of November 2009 he released is first EP (5 songs) that he auto produced. The very same month, the single “Je referais bien un tour de nous” was placed on the compilation CD of the Sentier des halles which was compiled to demonstrate the variety of artists that represent their artistic direction.

2010 is the year that debuts Ivan Pavlak as a solo recording Artist; In the spring, his first album LP (12 songs) has been recorded and mastered, his first video clip of the single “Invaincu” has been finalized and released; and in the summer he did a tour of more than 30 concerts around the south of France.
